Our History
Integratio Press is the book publishing ministry of the Christianity and Communication Studies Network, or CCSN (www.theccsn.com). The CCSN is an educational outreach of FaithComm, Inc., a non-profit [501(c)3] organization.
The CCSN grew out of Gainey Institute’s workshops in communication at Calvin University directed by Quentin Schultze. Our goal was to extend year-round the kinds of opportunities we encountered at the Gainey Institute and to open such opportunities to a broader, more geographically diverse, audience.
The CCSN’s mission and purpose is to provide educational opportunities for teachers, researchers, administrators, students, and others at private and public institutions who are interested in the study of communication from a Christian perspective. We educate, train, sponsor, coordinate, and offer valuable information at the intersection of Christianity and communication studies in ways that promote pro-social discourse and civility in all sectors of society.
Our Books
Since we are a group of communication professors, administrators, students, professionals, and practitioners, our books are communication focused. And because we are a group of committed Christ followers, our books are Christ-centered, demonstrating serious “Christian thinking” about communication issues and challenges in both theory and practice. Our books are intended to bridge the gap between the Academy and the pew in ways that encourage deep reflection and application to our everyday communication lives.
We publish original books across five divisions. Learn more about our divisions.
We welcome submissions from anyone whose work fits our publication goals. Please complete the following Book Proposal Form to make a submission. Do not send a completed manuscript or separate book proposal form. Submissions should be directed to Integratio Press’ managing editor, Robert Woods: rwoods@theccsn.com.
Note: If you are uncertain whether your work fits Integratio Press’ publication goals, and you want to make certain it does before you take the time to complete the full proposal, you may submit a 300-word (max) abstract describing the work. If we decide it fits our goals, then we will invite you to complete the book proposal form.
Our Executive Editors
All books go through a peer-reviewed editorial process. Once accepted, authors work alongside one of our executive editors throughout the publication process. Integratio Press relies on an editorial board comprised of respected communication scholars and practitioners. Learn more about our growing community of executive editors.
